I was looking over “Historical PeeBugg” on blogger and I saw this post on June 19, 2005. So click here and scroll down to the 19th…
a poem I wrote about my father. Here is the freaky thing, it was written and posted exactly 4 years before he died…to the day!!!!

Yes it is almost that time of year when the youngest troll celebrates his birthday…Â This year, we are going on an adventure.
The 16th we are heading to Albuquerque where we will stay at the Albuquerque Garden Hilton - Uptown. They have a waterslide in their pool!!!! Woo-Hoo.

On the 17th, Internation “Alec” Day, O’gherkin found this really cool place…..
The Ghost Ranch It is a huge museum about dinosaurs and other cultural past stuff.. It’s in Abiquiqu, which isn’t far from Albuquerque.

 Trolls love dinasours!!
And…….we have reservations at …………………………are you ready?????………………..

Yes…Buca di Beppo  where I reserved the kitchen booth…….We have become Buca Junkies ….
Then….on Saturday we will be hitting the Zoo, Aquarium and botanical gardens of Albuquerque….maybe the museum and old town if we have time.
As for the birthday present….. we are giving him cash right before we walk into Toys-R-Us and letting him pick out whatever he wants for what cash he has…….. (We are giving Ashton some too, same rules…just cause)
Coming home on Sunday….. then the little boys go with MethHead for a week starting the 22nd and they will be home the 29th… I so don’t want them to go, but rules are rules….. Damn Courts…

Here I am again…2 years and 13 days later talking about one of my parents…..
Received a call from the Rehabilitation Facility here in Farmington around 1:15 am informing me that my father had passed away and from what they could tell…peacefully.
He had triple by-pass heart surgery on 06/05 and was healing well from it but was having difficulties with his breathing due to his asthma and and other pre-exhisting resiportary conditions.   He was in the hospital in ABQ for almost 2 weeks when they transfered him to the rehabiliton center here in Farmington so he could get better and be closer to home, family and friends. Â
When my mother passed away, I remember him saying..”It wasn’t supposed to be like this, I was supposed to die first”. At the time it seemed odd but over the past 2 years I began to understand. He was lost without her. She knew he would be and the night before she died as we walked around the hospital floor eating Cheetos she said “Elizabeth, take care of your father because he won’t” At the time (again) thought it was a strange request, but I promised. I tried to do as she asked, I didn’t do as good of a job as she would of……but I tried.Â
At my mother’s funeral John Preston (former pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church) said that he hopes when he passes that God will allow him to be with his wife in Heaven. I have prayed to God and asked Him to please let my daddy be with my mother in Heaven.

I turned the big 39 on the 28th….whew…..
O’gherkins made me my most favorite flavor cake “Cherry Chip”,Ashton frosted it and Alec stole frosting from it…

He made it with this…..

That night at my daddy’s house….it looked like this….

SOMEONE CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT!!!!!
cheese and rice……
Ashton’s graduation from the 5th grade was the 29th…pictures will be in a different post cause they are not on my phone and stuff….
But……..Saturday…..My stud muffin O’gherkin helped me get my father to Horace Nissian-Hyundia because I was having issues with the black truck that was my fathers…..and I got……

OMG it is so cool…I didn’t realize how much I didn’t like the black truck…
Thanks Gherkie-baby for being there all the time….and for putting up with me…. I know it’s not a easy job…

So, did you like my rings???? (in the picture on my last post)
I love them…..they were my mom’s. Of course her wedding rings and the pinkie ring was a ring my dad had designed for her shortly after they moved to Farmington. A few months ago the man that designed it (amazingly enough he is still alive) asked dad what happened to it, when he told him I was wearing it the guy said “That’s good, a thing as beautiful as that needs to stay in the family”
The little boys are being chauffered by the teen to get all their hairs cut today before they go with methhead. Besides the fact that they need all their hairs cut, there is no school today and I don’t want methhead getting here and the boys will be home and I won’t.
O’gherkin and I are traveling to ABQ on Saturday to go coat shopping. Being from Tucson he hasn’t had much need for a winter coat and he is starting to become a O’gherkin-cicle.
Wish us luck–We are staying at the Nativo Lodge, never stayed there before. We have driven by it several times and looks really cool…….I will hopefully have pictures cause I’ll be doing the tourist thing don’tcha know.
